I never used to train a release word, but recently read about it, and the reasons were obvious. It is so great and now a command doesn't seem complete without it. It just makes sense.

Denn's last blog post..Unusual Treat

I still have trouble getting my chocolate lab to sit stay.. she is a mommas girl and very stubborn. She wont let me out of her sight when I back away... The other dogs were easier to teach.. but she has been a bear.

I remember this with my dog - she picked it up really quickly and I didn't actually have to do much work. I got really lucky!
