I was born somewhere in Minnesota in November of 2006 and adopted in January at a shelter near Minneapolis.

stranger just helped his friend chuy the german shepherd learn to like his wading pool. He jumped in, digging and drinking and rolling around until chuy joined in too. one of my favorite memories with stranger is swimming in the river with him. It was his first time in water, and he wavered between panic and joy.

We also have the beach, but at the height of summer with the heat, lack of shade & salt it can actually dehydrate our dogs…

I will definitely be getting Chels a wading pool and they are mobile enough that i can put it under the cover of the verandah… Chels likes any water up to knee deep….

Hera LOVES kiddie pools. When we go to Bark Park she heads straight to the kiddie pools for her first order of business. We have a nice ingound pool and she is less than enthusiastic. And I was afraid I wouldnt be able to keep them out…

Fun times had by all. Trooper needs to get in the pool after every walk, even when it’s cold out. He just gets overheated so easily.

You’re warmer in Fargo that we are in Ohio right now. We’ll be lucky if we hit 70 today, after weather a few weeks ago in the 90′s. Your Ace is so cute – those retrievers love their water.

Oh yeah – my dog loved the water and we were fortunate to live right on the ocean for most of her life. The funniest was fetch in the waves where you would think she was getting bowled over but then you’d see her little head pop out of the whitewater with the ball in her mouth.
