Our dogs used to sneak "cat fudge" all the time. Actually, with the litter it was probably more like "cat roca"!

One thing my husband and I catch ourselves doing is cleaning lint or dust off a dog toy or chew before giving it to Biggie. Then we look at each other and say, "he eats sticks." (so why are we bothering with a little dust?)

It really is pretty easy to anthropormorphize pets. I know that we do it with our cats. They always do something to remind us of their "animal" status though! A good reminder.

Yeah, we have a covered box too but it won't stop Super Turd Burglar. He gets his nose and jowls covered and it is nowhere near delightful. Ugh.

We have one of those covered litter boxes, and one time I caught Ace in action and startled him. He ended up getting the top half of the box stuck around his neck!

I can imagine Gus can collect a nice amount of kitty litter on his lips with all that drool.
