Help sponsor Otis’ adoption fee

Otis is up for adoption with Priceless Pet Rescue

Otis is up for adoption with Priceless Pet RescueUPDATE: Otis has been adopted!

ThatMutt.com raises money to sponsor the adoption donation fee of a shelter or rescue dog each month.

For February I chose a pug/beagle mix from Priceless Pet Rescue in Chino Hills, Calif. Otis still needs a little help finding his forever home, so he is April’s featured dog as well.

Otis is a special-needs dog who takes medication to prevent seizures, according to the rescue. He also receives routine blood tests and will need lifetime medical care.

The good news is that as long as he gets the correct dose of medication, the rescue said he doesn’t seem to have any seizures.

Quick stats on Otis

Breed: Pug/beagle mix
Location: Adopted!

Otis is looking for a home with someone willing to take on his medical condition and give him lots of love. As you can see, he is a fun guy who loves to play ball!

The cost to adopt Otis is $150, and ThatMutt.com is raising the money to sponsor that fee so a lucky person can adopt Otis for free or at a reduced cost. This will allow his new family to spend the money on his medication and other costs.

You can make a donation of any amount using the PayPal button below, and I will give 100 percent of the money to Priceless Pet Rescue as part of Otis’ sponsorship. Any amount helps. There is no minimum requirement. Those who donate $20 or more will receive a FREE 2014 Mutt Calendar.

If we raise more than enough money, the rest will go to a second special needs dog within the same rescue group.

Priceless Pet Rescue has been re-homing and rehabilitating homeless pets since 2007, according to its web site. You can learn more about the rescue group here.

With your help, readers of That Mutt raised $140 in January to go towards the adoption fee of a Lab mix named Gemini. You also donated to the adoption fee of a pitbull mix named Mindy in March.

If you know of a shelter that would like to partner with That Mutt, please send your nominations to [email protected].
