We all want our pets to live longer. At just 9 years old, my dog is already very much a senior, and like all dog owners, I find myself wishing for more time with him. If only there was a fountain of youth for dogs, right?

Rejeneril is a patented dietary supplement by Ultimate Pet to help dogs and cats live longer, healthier lives, according to the company.

Ultimate Pet says Rejeneril is an antioxidant formula recommended by veterinarians. It acts as a cellular regenerator and can help set the foundation for a disease-free life.

“At the heart of ever cell is the mitochondria — the cell’s engine,” Ultimate Pet says on its web site. Rejeneril is based on a compound called the Palladium Lipoic Acid Complex, which donates electrons to the mitochondria of the cells “providing dramatic energy benefits.”

The supplement can be given to dogs, cats, horses or any other mammal, according to the company.

Ultimate Pet claims just some of the benefits of Rejeneril include:

  • a boost to your dog or cat’s energy
  • a stronger immune system
  • decreased joint pain related to arthritis

While the company says pets of all ages can benefit from Rejeneril, senior pets will most likely benefit the most.

What I thought about Rejeneril

Cat Beamer tries RejenerilRejeneril for dogs and catsI decided to give Rejeneril to my 9-year-old Lab mix Ace and my 12-year-old cat Beamer over several weeks.

I was curious if I would be able to notice any changes in those two senior guys.

I noticed:

1. Softer, shinier coats on both my dog and cat.

2. Healthier-looking skin on my dog.

3. Less dandruff from my dog.

4. Pain relief for my dog’s sore joints (I replaced his glucosamine supplement with Rejeneril and saw the same benefits).

The bottom line: Some people prefer to take supplements and to give their pets supplements. Some do not. I am somewhere in the middle and like to give my pets occasional supplements/vitamins. Rejeneril is a good option for senior pets.

I have 3 dogs. One is a senior mix, one is a very active Siberian Husky around 4 1/2 yrs old and my new dog is a giant Alaskan Malamute who is 125 pounds and growing. I can use this for all my dogs. I use supplements but would love to try this.

This looks like a really good product. I will read up on it as I have a 7 1/2 yr old lab mix & she has an issue with her left leg due to a muscle pull. She is currently on some supplements for it & it has helped quite a bit. I am a huge believer in the natural approach. Would def love to win this! Thanks Lindsay for your great newsletter.

Hmmm... Softer coat on Ace??? I think I would like to try it on D.O.G. and the girls. They are all on glucosamine for their joints and I try to watch their weight. Thanks for these wonderful contests. :-)

I've been trying different supplements for my aging pup, but haven't noticed a difference with anything yet. I'll have to try this out.
