It can’t always be about dogs…

Today is the last day to submit a caption to Scout’s photo caption contest. Meanwhile, Scout is enjoying the day with no dog in the house. We are back from our bike trip and can’t pick Ace up from the kennel until 5 p.m. I can’t wait to see my mutt!

Today was my cat Scout’s third birthday. I spend so much time and energy worrying about Ace that Scout doesn’t always get the attention he needs. Is there no cat whisperer because no one understands cats? I do not know or understand nearly as much about cats as I do about dogs, and sometimes I think I should put more effort into my cat, not that he would really care.

So … we threw Scout a birthday party! As you can see, he was not very thrilled … until he discovered the catnip cupcakes. …………………………………………………………………………………..
