Rescue group helps homeless dog living in trash

This video was posted Thursday by Hope For Paws, a Los Angeles-based animal rescue organization.

It will make several of you tear up, but the story has a happy ending. The dog, who had apparently been surviving off of trash, gets the love and care she needs and is currently in a foster home, according to Hope For Paws. She has been given the name Miley.

Hope For Paws is a nonprofit organization founded by Audrey and Eldad Hager, according to its Facebook page. The group often focuses on saving stray animals and its mission is “saving the animals in most danger and sharing their rescues through video as it has proven to influence people to adopt animals in need.”

She is such a good girl. The transformation was amazing. It sort of reminds me of when I rescued Pierson, except he wasn't nearly as bad off. Rescuing an animal is an amazing experience.

I LOVE this. You can see the gratitude in the dog's face.

I took care of a dog that was living on trash...I always had a hard time keeping her out the trash as she LOVED eating garbage! I'm so glad this one is now being taken care of!
