Update: 14-year-old, deaf pitbull needs your help finding a home

Help Paige by donating to the humane society and get prizes from PoochPax and Spring Naturals

OK guys. Paige’s entire adoption fee has been sponsored! Thank you!

Now we just need to spread the word about this sweet dog to find her a home.

To help Paige and other senior dogs at the Escondido (Calif.) Humane Society, I am collecting general donations for the shelter.

The EHS is an open-admission shelter that accepts stray animals and does not kill dogs or cats for space or length of stay, according to its web site. Dogs like Paige get to stay at the shelter until they find their loving homes. It’s very important to me to support these types of shelters.

The first two people to donate $25 or more to the shelter using the PayPal button below will receive great prizes from Spring Naturals and PoochPax. Of course, any amount is appreciated, and 100 percent of the money will go to the shelter.

For the first two people who donate $25 or more, Spring Naturals will send your dog a bag of natural treats made with real meat, fruit and whole grains (grain-free also available).

You will also get a coupon code for a free box from PoochPax containing treats and toys. PoochPax is a monthly subscription box for dogs. *Must live in the U.S. to receive these prizes.* Edit: This promotion has ended.

Some quick stats about Paige

Good with kids 6 and up. Available for adoption for FREE. Most likely OK with most dogs. Loves to cuddle. Loves her walks. A favorite at the shelter. 14 years old. Pitbull/sharpei mix. Deaf. Been at the shelter for 10 months.

She just about breaks your heart, doesn’t she?

10 months is way too long for any dog to be at a shelter, especially a senior. Let’s spread the word about Paige!

Have you ever adopted a senior dog?
