Wellness CORE Air Dried Dog Food – Giveaway

My dogs recently sampled the Wellness CORE Air Dried dog food.

Air dried dog food is less processed than typical dry dog food.

In this case, Wellness starts out with raw protein and fresh fruits & veggies. Then, the ingredients are air dried slowly at low temperatures.

The Wellness CORE Air Dried dog food is grain free, made in the USA and can be served as a meal, a topper or a treat.

This post is sponsored by Wellness Pet Food.

The company is giving away a 2-pound bag of its Wellness CORE Air Dried dog food and two bags of treats to a lucky winner!

My thoughts on the air dried food.

My dogs Ace and Remy really like the texture and flavor of the air dried food over the standard dry food. The air dried “nuggets” are noticeably softer.

I like that all the Wellness CORE products are grain free, high in protein and made in the USA.

Air dried dog food is cooked, not raw. The food is heated at low temperatures very slowly so it is less processed than standard dry dog food, according to Wellness. Learn more here.

I believe a raw dog food diet is the healthiest option for most dogs, but the majority of my readers and dog owners in general prefer to feed dry dog food.

Wellness is a company I trust and I recommend their products if you are looking for a high-quality dry dog food.

Different product options from Wellness CORE

Wellness CORE has several different types of food for dogs, so I’ll briefly compare the air dried food to the two other Wellness products I’ve reviewed. That way you can choose what’s best for your dog.

The three products include:

  1. The Wellness CORE Air Dried dog food
  2. Wellness CORE Grain Free dry food
  3. Wellness CORE RawRev (dry food mixed with freeze dried raw)

All three products are grain free and made in the United States. They are available online at Chewy.com and Amazon and are also available at many retail locations including PetSmart and Petco.

The company makes several other products such as canned food, treats and cat food.

Option #1: Wellness CORE Air Dried dog food

I recommend the Air Dried food if you have a picky eater or want to add some variety to your dog’s regular food. It’s less processed than standard dry food so it is easier for a dog to digest. It only comes in 2-pound bags at the moment so I recommend it for small dogs or as a mixer for large dogs. More info here.

  • Heated slowly at low temperatures so it’s less processed
  • Softer texture than standard dry food
  • Good for picky eaters
  • Can be fed as a meal or used as a topper or treat
  • Only comes in 2-pound bags so far (good choice for small dogs)

Option #2: Wellness CORE dry dog food

You can’t go wrong with this food if you’re looking for a healthy, grain-free dry dog food. The bags are available in sizes up to 24 pounds, and there are 7 recipe options including “wild game” made with duck, lamb, boar and rabbit. More info here.

Option #3: Wellness CORE RawRev

This is the same as the Wellness CORE dry food but it includes pieces of freeze-dried raw turkey or lamb. I recommend this food if you are considering transitioning to a raw diet in the future or if you’re not sure and you’d like your dog to at least have a small amount of raw meat. More info.

Wellness RawRev

  • Contains pieces of freeze-dried raw turkey or raw lamb
  • Nice option for someone considering a raw diet in the future
  • For dogs of all sizes
  • Good option for travel/boarding if you normally feed raw
