Alaskan Crunch Campfire Natural Dog Treats + Giveaway

Cod skin sticks for dogs from Campfire Treats

My Weimaraner Remy loves the “Alaskan Crunch” cod skin sticks from Campfire Natural Dog Treats. They are single ingredient treats made from 100% wild caught Alaskan cod.

I’ve written about Campfire Treats before. I love the brand’s connection to the outdoors and dedication to providing the best ingredients.

Campfire Natural Dog Treats – Alaskan Crunch

What I think of the “Alaskan Crunch” from Campfire Treats

My first thought was, “wow, these are way bigger than I thought they would be!” Each stick is about 12” long so these are nice sized goodies.

Remy thinks the cod skins are amazing, and I know theses treats are made with the best ingredients. I use them for rewarding him for things like going in his kennel, sitting still for pictures or letting me take away his toys.

Like I’ve said before, the top reason I recommend Campfire Natural Dog Treats is because the company exclusively uses all-natural, human-grade quality ingredients from U.S. farms and fisheries.

For example, its Alaskan Crunch is made with wild-caught cod from Northern Alaska. The cod skins are carefully hand-rolled and dehydrated in the company’s California kitchen.

I also love that the owners of Campfire Natural Dog Treats have an adorable Vizsla named Pippa! The second best breed! 🙂

In fact, Campfire Treats began when Marko Wittich and his wife Stevie started making their own treats for Pippa using only natural, locally sourced ingredients. Pippa loved them, and so did the dogs of their friends and neighbors! And so, Campfire Natural Dog Treats began!

In addition to the Alaskan Crunch, some of the other products the company makes include:

What is the cost? Plus a coupon code!

Pros of the Alaskan Crunch Treats from Campfire Natural Dog Treats:

Cons:

  • Slight “cod” smell of course – dogs love this! And it’s not a strong smell.
  • A bit crumbly as you might expect from dried fish skin, but not too bad.

These might not be for you if you’re looking for a bite sized training treat for your dog. These are larger treats but most dogs will probably eat them in a few seconds, at least mine does!
