scout33.JPGThat’s an awfully small cat for such a big kennel. Seems like more of a lion carrier than a cat carrier.

Uh oh, I’ve disturbed it.

Cats just love those crates…as long as it isn’t their crates!

Haha! Yes, you are right! And as long as they can go in the crate on their terms.

I don’t know much about cats, but I had one when I was small, but after it left I really didn’t have an affinity with them until 4 years ago when a liter was born under the house next door and Stalker got left behind.I feed it and made it a shelter, but mostly it sleeps under the house and roams. I asked at the SPCA because I wanted it to have a home and since I have 2 dogs that try to catch it I can’t keep it, but they said they only keep them a year and put them to sleep if not adopted. I didn’t have the heart to try and catch him and end his life so he’s got his freedom and I feel bad that he may have babies all over the place, but I refuse to be responsible for his death. To make myself feel better I am convinced he is sterile.

Haha! That is a funny story. Stalker is a good name. The sad thing is, he isn’t sterile. I’m glad you want to keep him alive. Does he let you pet him? It would be nice of you to pay $100 or so for him to get shots and neutered.

He lets me pet him, but wont they try to keep him if they know he’s a stray? I don’t know if I can get him into a carrier and he’s bit me several times, doesn’t feel real great. I refuse to call and have someone take him.

I think you should try to bring him in to a vet. Maybe wear gloves and get him into a carrier? Just keep him as your adopted outdoor cat, like you are already doing.

My wife and I have a two small dogs and two cats. The smaller of the two cats will often lay in one of the dog’s crates. It’s a much smaller crate, though.
