Best outdoor dog pictures (Week 1)

Here are some of the dog photos that have been submitted so far. You have three more weeks to submit photos. Remember, all you have to do is email your photos to me at Lindsay@thatmutt.com, and I will publish them each Sunday in March.

I will publish one photo per dog per week, so feel free to submit several photos to be used over the next couple of weeks. This is your chance to show off your photography skills, how cute your dog is or the crazy weather you are having. The only requirement is the photo has to be taken outside. If you want, I will link back to your web site.

Ruby the pit bull terrier and Bruno the Italian greyhound mix

Ruby (5 months) and Bruno (8 months) are owned by Shane Tommerdahl.
Shane lives in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Dutch the mutt

Dutch (eight) loves to play with his tennis ball. What he loves even more is to play with his ball in a pile of snow. When snow isn’t available, then a pile of leaves makes a good substitute.
His owner Patti Struchynski of Fargo took this photo. Patti said she has discussed with her husband the need to build Dutch a sandbox this summer.

Mollie (left) and Keira the mutts

Mollie (3) and Keira (4) were adopted by Lisa Lines of Massachusetts last July.
This photo was taken a few weeks ago during one of their many play fights.

Sophie the springer and Elsie the golden

Sophie (3) and Elsie (6) live in Menomonie, Wis. They also just happen to be my mom’s dogs.

Jake the golden mix

This was Jake’s first canoe ride on a lake in Glendalough State Park in August 2002. Half way across the lake, Jake (now eight) saw a piece of tree cotton flying by and he decided to go chase it. Boy did he have a surprised look on his face when he landed in the water! Jake has gone canoeing several times since then. He has never attempted to jump out again!
Jake is owned by Patti Struchynski of Fargo.

Allie and Jack the mutts

Allie (2) and Jack (2) are pictured on their deck right after Allie was adopted in January.
They are patrolling for squirrels and getting to know each other.
The dogs are owned by Jen Renninger of Columbus, Ohio.

And finally, my mutt Ace

I took this shot of Ace (3) on a snowy afternoon in Gooseberry Park located in Moorhead, Minn.
This was the location of the first walk Ace and I took together after I adopted him in March 2006. We have returned many times since.
