Vixen the Akita/pitbull mix

Vixen is a gorgeous pitbull/Akita mix up for adoption with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in Fargo. She is a very unique looking dog. She doesn’t always get along with other dogs, but she loves people. She also knows the word sit. I have only taken her for one running session, so I will post more info about her as I get to know her better. Right now she is in need of a foster home while she waits to be adopted.

Sasha the German shepherd mix

Sasha was the first rescue dog I began running on a regular basis, and I absolutely love her. If the time were right for me, I would’ve adopted her by now.

Sasha is so eager to learn and loves treats! She is an easy dog to bond with because she really does love everyone. Right now she is staying at a training and boarding facility where she is learning even more manners. Whoever adopts her gets two free weeks of additional training.

Unfortunately, Sasha has had some bad luck with finding her permanent home because she is unpredictable around other dogs. This is unfortunate because she is so loving and loyal to people and has so much affection to give. All Sasha needs is someone committed to training and exercising her.

I asked the owner of the training facility how Sasha is doing and she said she can’t understand why Sasha hasn’t been adopted yet. Although she seems very happy, she deserves a forever home.

Stormy the lab mix

I’m fortunate to get to spend time with Stormy every week when I take her for running sessions. There are so many great things to say about Stormy. She is probably the smartest dog I’ve worked with. She has great potential and has already passed a beginning obedience class. She would love a home with someone dedicated to working with her every day on training.

Stormy has a beautiful, thick black coat. She has a long body and nose and reminds me of a shepherd. She loves to go for walks and runs and she even went on a few biking sessions with me and was very well behaved. Her only “flaw” is her typical lab energy and intelligence. She needs exercise and a lot of interaction or she gets bored.

Stormy is spayed, kennel trained, great with other dogs and even good with cats! She lives with three cats right now. I also took her for a run with my 10-pound foster dog and they got along great. For more information about Stormy, check out her profile with 4 Luv of Dog.
