Man steals dog, then posts about it on reddit

This video caught my attention this week. A man stole a couple’s greater Swiss mountain dog from an enclosed, locked dog run Dec. 6 in Forth Worth, Texas, according to a local Fox news station. He then posted about it on reddit saying he’d rescued the 10-month-old dog from the cold.

The couple got the dog back Thursday night through a meeting with reddit users at a Fort Worth shopping center, according to Fox. Police are still investigating.

Of course, posters on reddit were full of opinions about how you should never leave a dog outside. Others defended the couple, saying the Swissy is a breed that typically thrives in colder weather.

I can think of very few circumstances where it’s OK to steal someone’s dog. This is not one of them.

What do you think?

She was outside but in an enclosure. She even has a crate so that she's even further protected from the weather. I agree it was wrong to take her. I really hope he does give the dog back.

What . . . ?! I can't even say how much I hate reddit sometimes. I really think it feeds and encourages people like this. He's clearly doing this for attention. I hope he gets arrested.

I get very angry when a case has to go to court and the judge rules against the original owners. Even if people bought a stolen dog, the dog is not theirs.
