Our little foster dog went to her trial home today. It’s a good thing someone wanted to adopt her right away because we were starting to get attached to Sammi and wanted to keep her! Even the cats were getting used to her.
Ace is walking around with his toys in his mouth happy to be an only dog again. Although he had fun with a puppy around, he will take advantage of this time to catch up on some rest. He was very patient while Sammi wanted to wrestle and bite his ears and tail all the time.
We will miss you Sammi!
If you are interested in adopting or fostering a dog, the 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in Fargo has many dogs for adoption such as Jesse the American pit bull terrier. There are also many dogs in need of foster homes, especially because of the flooding Red River. If you can help, don’t hesitate.
Last I heard, Fargo’s emergency pet shelter at the fairgrounds has enough volunteers for today (Friday) and tomorrow, but it might need extra help on Sunday. If you can help in any way or need a safe place for your pets, call 701.281.1574.
I recommend calling the shelter to see what its current needs are before heading out there to volunteer.

Yay! I hope it works out for her! What a cutie. I love the pic of Scout with the tentative sniff!
yep, that’s exactly how scout is about everything, tentative.
Congratulations.Sounds like you were heading towards being a two Dog Family.
That’s wonderful news!
I do hope they keep her and it will be a forever home and they love her unconditionally =)
I know how it is getting attached to animals that stay with us for only a short time. It’s hard.
You’ve done a great job =D
Wow, that was pretty quick! That’s super. Sammi is sure a cutie. I hope everything works out just wonderfully with her new family, and that the adoption is finalized soon.
she looks like a sweet little thing!
As foster parents, would you be able to keep her If you wanted even though a family expressed interest? Do you get to meet the families?
Well, I’m sure we could’ve kept her. But since she had a family that wanted her, it was best to let her go. Had no one been interested in her … we might’ve had a second dog by now. I’ve met the families of my last two foster dogs and knew the dogs were going to good homes.
