I do love the Furminator, but a warning to cat owners. My cat loves it too, but last year I took enough hair off that she started to look like male pattern baldness. This year I’m limiting her to one brushing a week.

Ah, yeah, the FURminator! We discovered it couple years ago. I remember watching the promo video and trying to figure out how it could have been faked.

After the frustration of multitudes of other brushes and combs, we decided to try it anyway.

Once you try the FURminator, there is no going back! When our son saw how well it works with our Rotties, he borrowed it to try on his cats and he is also using it since!

I don’t find it necessary to use it all year long, only during the shedding season, when it takes only couple days to get the loose fur out.

For the rest of the time I use regular brush or comb.

But I cannot imagine my life without FURminator!

In fact, the FURminator review was my very first blog post. http://dawgbusiness.blogspot.com/2009/12/furminator.html

Wow, this is great to know, Lindsay. I’m going to get one of these when I visit the US this summer. I haven’t seen it in the pet shops here in Belgium.

We love ours too, but… the cats aren’t so pleased with it. Our Ben needs to be brushed in the worst way, and he won’t let us do it! We literally have to hold him down and he cries and cries… Poor boy! It’s about time for another round of furminating though. :)

I LOVE the furminator! I adopted a nine week old mixed breed puppy last summer, and he developed quite the shepherd undercoat. The furminator sheds him out so quickly!

So, it was my understanding when I bought my FURminator that the first time you brush your pet, you are to brush until the hair stops coming out, and then only brush them once a week or so. Either my dog and I don’t have the patience to do that, or I am wrong about this, because it seems like no matter how long I brush my dog, the hair doesn’t stop! Which also makes me wonder how much hair ends up everywhere else…I’m with every one else on this topic though, the FURminator is great!

Wow, you got an extra cat out of using that brush! I need to get one of these for Gus. We can get massive tumbleweeds the size of 4 or 5 kitties out of him with our regular brush. I wonder how much would come out with one of these!

Weirdly I just wrote about it after we got one the other day. I can’t believe just how good they are. Incredible.

I always assumed they would be like any other Dog brush but the difference is amazing. Clean floors here we come. Hooray.

I would recommend it to anyone who can never seem to stop the fur flying.
