30-day challenge: Teach your dog five new commands (day 17)

Ace rolled over on command today for the first time! Good boy! He only did it one time, though. I really made a big deal when he did it right, like he just won an Olympic gold medal (he thought he had). Now he is slowly improving on all five commands. Hopefully in the next 10 days or so, Ace can get them all down.

I am working on saying each command only one time, and not repeating them. Ace will often give me a confused look, and it’s hard for me not to repeat the word three or four times.

Today was day 17 of my 30-day challenge to teach my dog five new commands. Click here to see all my challenge posts.

Thanks, Tammy. Training a dog does take a lot of work.

Marie, I am impressed with everything you have taught your dogs, too.

Thanks, Saint Lover.

Biggie, I think lie there and pant should count as one of the five. :) Ace has that down, too!

Thanks for the encouragement, Apryl.

Yay, Ace! We've only been working on walking nicely on lead (not one of our 5) as it is too @#$%^ HOT here to do much else.

(Actually, does "lie there and pant loudly" count?)
