That Mutt’s new look!

Welcome to ThatMutt.com!

With the new site design comes a renewed focus. Most of the posts here will be related to dog behavior and dog training. Of course, it’s still easy to relate these to dog exercise, dog rescue and cat behavior from time to time 🙂

The mission of ThatMutt.com is to help as many dogs as possible by helping dog owners understand their dogs better. That means being compassionate to all types of dog owners. There is no correct way to obtain or raise a dog, no correct training method or training tool – just the right way for the individual dog and the individual owner.

I realize more than ever that I do not have all the answers. Not even close. No one does.

In addition to the blog, there are all kinds of ways to learn more about dog training and behavior:

I’ve created a free newsletter which will focus on dog training goals, dog training habits and building a solid relationship with your dog. If you’ve signed up for the newsletter in the last three months or so you should already be subscribed. Otherwise, I hope you’ll join us. You can do so at the very bottom of the home page. My goal is to maintain a real and engaging newsletter, and the articles will not appear anywhere else on the site.

I’m going to be working on several ebooks which you may choose to buy if the subject interests you or if you would like to support the blog.

That Mutt’s dog  forum is growing, and I hope you’ll jump into some of the interesting conversations there. We have some very knowledgeable members, and they are open minded and kind.

I’m looking forward to building on my own dog Ace’s training. He’s 6 now, and there’s always more we can do, always ways to grow.

Thank you for being an important part of my life by reading the posts here on That Mutt. Thank you for contributing. A blog is not much, to me, without readers.

Let’s continue on our way.

That would be a good question for your dog's vet. Usually Rimadyl helps. And glucosamine.
