Day 24 of our challenge was not as much of a challenge for Ace as it was the kids we saw. Ace and I walked through a playground/park area where a bunch of elementary kids were having a last day of school fun day. And boy were they having fun! Water games, food, tons of screaming and laughing. And then they saw a dog! Ace actually kept it together pretty well when seven or eight boys and girls came running up to him, ...

This is Matty. I have never featured a homeless pet before, mostly because I know there are thousands out there. How could it do any good if I post a cute photo and notes about just one dog? I’m not sure if this will help Matty or not. What I do know is this: There are hundreds of homeless pets just like him in your area. Dog whisperer Cesar Millan and author Jon Katz ...

Ace and I watched part of a softball tournament on day 21 of our 30-day challenge to visit 30 new places. There were plenty of distractions, with kids everywhere, dogs, scooters and bikes, balls flying, cheering ...

This is Beamer, the cat I have been catsitting for the past two and a half weeks while my boyfriend is in California without me. Sure, he looks cute here (well, kinda), but this cat is something else. Beamer knocks over garbage cans and eats whatever he can find inside, eats anything that falls on the floor without smelling it first, terrorizes my dog, follows me around meowing, steals my cat’s food, steals my ...
