Ace and I decided to visit the Moorhead (Minn.) dog park for day 15 of our 30-day challenge. I have to admit, this dog park was really boring. We usually go to the one in Fargo near my apartment, and that one is a lot of fun.
The Moorhead park was a big letdown. Even Ace kind of stood there, like, OK, why are we here? Then he found a deflated kickball and had some fun with that. This park was boring because first of all, there were no other dogs there. And I can see why, considering all it had was a chain link fence with grass and it wasn’t very big. Plus it took awhile to get there because it wasn’t in a convenient location.
So, Ace and I just played fetch for 20 minutes (which we could have just done at home) and left. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting that park again for awhile.

He looks so happy in spite of being a dull park! At least you guys got out to somewhere new. It isn’t a total loss since now you know that it isn’t the place to go.

That stinks… We always get excited to go to the park. We used to live at one too. Its just a real hassle getting them all in the car and to the gates… They are soo darn excited to explore and run now.

It’s OK, because that park is one of three dog parks in the area. The one closest to us is the best one and we go there all the time.
I was talking to a friend about our town (well Australia in general) not having dog parks… She said ‘Oh we do I’ll show you’….
It was a small section of land squeezed between two housing estates, no ammenities & an open drain running through it…good god!
Glad you have one closer you and ace can use…
